Erika Ward

Erika Hollinshead Ward, Owner of Erika Ward Interiors, is an interior designer, web magazine contributor, speaker, internationally recognized blogger, and philanthropist. Her strong social media presence has positioned her as a well-respected key influencer in the local, national, and international design community. She’s been called upon to speak in several panel discussions by industry leaders such as Kravet and AmericasMart Atlanta and has also spoken at blog conferences on using social media to build a thriving interior design business. Erika’s passion for providing design and lifestyle direction to consumers coupled with her business acumen has positioned her as a competitor in the home and garden industry.

Providing Affordable Interior Design - In August 2006 while working as an accountant for a design-build firm, Erika founded Erika Ward Interiors in an effort to fill a void in the market for affordable design services. Her goal and mantra has always been to extinguish the myth that style and budget are mutually exclusive. Her design work has been recognized by HGTV.com, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and Atlanta Tastemaker Magazine. Erika’s design advice has also appeared in Heart and Soul Magazine, SheKnows.com, and Singapore’s Home and Décor Magazine.

Blogging by Design - In an effort to market her interior design firm, Erika Ward Interiors, Erika started the blog BluLabelBungalow.com with just the bare necessities. A blogger account, a custom domain, a knack for graphic design, and an editorial calendar blossomed into a site known for its insightful interviews with industry professionals and designers such as Sheila Bridges, Elaine Griffin, Palmer Weiss, Janice Palmer, Nicole Sassaman, and many more. With approximately 15,000 readers per month, she’s also garnered partnerships with Pottery Barn and New York City-based Elliman Properties.

Engaging Design Enthusiasts - Erika is also a contributor to houzz.com where she provides ideas and content for feature stories. Since October 2010, she has written over 100 articles providing decorating advice and interviews with interior designers such as Tobi Fairley, Meredith Heron, and Niki Papadopoulos. Her ideabooks are known for producing engaging dialogue and quality reader feedback.

Delivering Deserving Design - Erika combined her heart for volunteerism with her involvement in the Atlanta design community and co-founded Room Service Atlanta, LLC, a non-profit group of interior designers and design enthusiasts who provide pro-bono services to Metro Atlanta shelters. Just last May, she co-lead twelve designers in redesigning residence rooms and common areas at Nicholas House Shelter in Grant Park.

Room Service Atlanta has an ongoing partnership with Mitchell Gold Bob Williams Atlanta and has been featured in Atlanta Magazine and 11 Alive (NBC) News.

Erika holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia and has completed coursework in Interior Design at American Intercontinental University. She resides in Atlanta with her husband and children.
