Aliza Sherman

Aliza Sherman is a Web pioneer, mobile strategist, and social media innovator. She speaks around the world and writes about Internet, social media, mobile, and women’s tech and business issues. Aliza specializes in making technology more accessible to humans. In 1995, Newsweek named her one of the “Top People Who Matter Most on the Internet” after she founded the first woman-owned, full-service Internet company, Cybergrrl, Inc. and the first global Internet networking organization for women, Webgrrls International. Aliza provides high-level, strategic digital consulting focused on the women’s market. Her company Mediaegg launched an iOS app called “Girls Can Be Anything Paperdolls” to provide age-appropriate, family-friendly games for young children who are already smartphone savvy. Aliza’s books include The Everything Blogging Book, Streetwise Ecommerce, PowerTools for Women in Business and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Crowdsourcing. Her 9th book is Mom, Incorporated out October 2011 and co-written with Danielle Smith.
